EraseExif is a free tool that views and removes EXIF metadata entirely in your browser. Your images are not uploaded to our servers.

What we do (and don’t) process

• No image uploads: Images you select are processed locally on your device using in-browser code. We do not receive, store, or log the images or their EXIF contents.
• No account data: We do not offer user accounts and do not store personal profile data.
• Support messages: If you email us, we’ll receive your message and address; we keep it only as long as needed to respond or for reasonable record-keeping.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage (e.g., page views, device types). Google Analytics sets cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. You can block or delete these via your browser settings. Learn more or opt-out with Google’s tools if you wish.

Cookies

We aim to keep cookies to a minimum. Analytics cookies may be set (see our Cookie Policy for details). We do not use cookies to store images or EXIF data.

Data retention

Because images never leave your device, we do not retain them. Support emails are kept as long as necessary for troubleshooting and compliance.

Your choices

• Block analytics cookies in your browser settings.
• Use private browsing or content blockers if desired.
• Contact us anytime to request deletion of prior support emails you sent us.

Security

We use standard security practices for our website. As images are processed locally, you maintain control of your files on your device.

Children’s privacy

EraseExif is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

International users

EraseExif is operated from Canada. By using the site, you understand information (e.g., analytics) may be processed by third parties in other countries.
